Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP, a a national Labor and Employment law firm with more than 125 lawyers spread across 22 offices, deployed Riverbed WAN optimization to improve the efficiency of their IT infrastructure across their entire enterprise with the adoption of a private cloud computing strategy. After installing Riverbed Steelhead appliances with the Riverbed Services Platform (RSP) – a Steelhead appliance that allows enterprises the ability to run up to five additional services and applications virtually in a protected partition - in each office, the firm was able to consolidate and virtualize remote servers, while eliminating the expense and difficulty of remotely managing hardware and software. Significant cost savings were achieved in both capital outlay for a planned server replacement and in monthly operating expenditures for the servers and network.
