LiquidPractice announces company launch

LiquidPractice: Office 365-based Practice Management software, launches at LegalTech New York 2012

Company co-founded by veterans in the legal practice management world

NEW YORK, NY and ALBUQUERQUE, NM, Jan. 25, 2012 – LiquidPracticeTM, the first practice management application written to operate in Microsoft’s Office365, offers a total cloud office targeted to small and medium-size law firms.

The company is co-founded by several seasoned software entrepreneurs, including Chairman Bill Bice, the founder of ProLaw Software, now owned by Thomson Reuters.

"We are excited to announce LiquidPractice." said Bice, "With the launch of Microsoft Office 365, there is now the opportunity for law firms to put their entire operation in the cloud. We have assembled a great team of experienced practice management experts to bring forward the next generation in professional firm automation."

Microsoft recently announced that Office 365, launched commercially in June 2011, has surpassed 100,000 installations, with a large number of those customers being small businesses. Numerous industry evaluations have touted the offering’s strengths in providing cross-platform and mobile access, high security standards, and excellent off-line access to tools and documents.

"Office 365 changes the landscape for legal practice management," said David Franklin, CEO of LiquidPractice. "We believe there are a number of agile firms that know exactly how to use our offering for both cost savings and increased productivity."

Most law firms already use the Office suite of applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plus Exchange-based email and calendaring, so there is a natural transition to the cloud version of these applications. LiquidPractice turns Office 365 into a practice management system designed specifically for law firms.

LiquidPractice software is currently in beta with commercial release to be announced next month. LiquidPractice is a Microsoft Cloud Partner. For more information, visit www.liquidpractice.com.
