Bridgeway Software, the most recommended provider of legal services management solutions, has announced that the Company is driving its solutions and technology roadmap to further support in-house law department operations. As part of this new initiative, Bridgeway is sponsoring a two-session track at this year’s LegalTech New York titled, Legal Operations: Forming a New Identity, focusing on the professionals who support and manage the business of running large corporate and government law departments and increasing the value of the legal services that they deliver.
Working harder is no longer sufficient for in-house legal professionals to keep pace with increasing demands, as the days of doing more with less are gone. David Samia, Vice President of Product Management at Bridgeway commented, “The silos of activities and information throughout the legal value chain - from consumers of legal services through providers - have never been more important to achieve goals and greater efficiencies. By managing the relationships between activities and consolidating information, organizations gain greater visibility, coordination, and control of their legal department. Bridgeway understands this premise, and has a clear vision for helping in-house law departments drive fact-based decisions through greater transparency; reduce legal costs by improving productivity; and deliver more business value through increased collaboration.”
Bridgeway’s first panel session is titled Foundations of Legal Operations and takes place on February 1st from 10:30 – 11:45 AM and features Cheryl Muise, Vice President Legal Program and Operations Management, Fidelity Investments and Benjamin Reichner, Manager-Business Operations and Technology, MetLife. The second session from 1:15 – 3:00 PM is titled Law Department Operations Reporting and Benchmarking Discussion and features Brad Blickstein - Blickstein Group, David Cambria - Senior Director, Enterprise Information Management, CDW and Rees Morrison - Founder at General Counsel Metrics, LLC and President & General Counsel at Rees Morrison Associates. Bridgeway will also be demonstrating their legal services management solutions in booth #506.

John Barber, Law Operations Senior Manager, Amgen Inc., and the moderator of Bridgeway’s track on Legal Operations stated, “Attorneys, paralegals, and in most cases business analysts and IT will ultimately make up the Legal Operations Teams, as they collectively focus on leveraging automation and systems that can improve the efficiency of getting law work done and create cost savings through related efficiencies. Bridgeway gets it, having assembled a great group of panelists who have compiled data on the challenges faced by legal operations managers. Together, we’ll share insight on how companies are organized, how they are reporting both metrics and benchmarking categories, and how technology is helping manage the business processes of legal management.”
