The Rise of Doc Review Attorneys

Discovery used to be simple. Potentially relevant information existed largely in paper form, stored in file cabinets and desk drawers, with the occasional physical sample or photograph serving as the key piece of evidence. Today, potentially relevant information may exist as a hidden cell within a Microsoft Excel document saved in the tenth subfolder within a shared departmental folder that is stored on a server on another continent.

Information may be stored anywhere and everywhere. Simply stated, more information exists today than five, ten, fifteen, or certainly twenty years ago.
