WASHINGTON, D.C., May 20, 2011- The Masters Conference, which is presenting the Masters Series for Legal Professionals event in Chicago on June 1, announced today that Jennifer Hamilton, Global eDiscovery Counsel for Deere & Company will deliver the keynote address. Her presentation will be on “eDiscovery and the Good Corporate Citizen.”

The Masters Series for Legal Professionals will be held June 1st, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mid-American Club in Chicago. The event, entitled “Strategies for Spanning the E-Discovery Divide” will feature thought-leading speakers from across the industry and will focus on the challenges and developments in e-discovery, data protection, records management and more.

As a senior attorney and Global eDiscovery Counsel, Hamilton pioneered the Electronic Discovery Practice Group at Deere, and leads the eDiscovery Response Team, which oversees the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Global Law Services Group and Corporate IT, in conjunction with other functional areas. She also trains the company on duties and best practices; advises in-house lawyers and stakeholders on individual eDiscovery matters; and works with vendors to develop business cases for emerging technologies. Hamilton participates in Working Group 6 of The Sedona Conference, which focuses on data privacy and international electronic discovery issues. She also participates in the Corporate eDiscovery Forum and related speaking and benchmarking opportunities.

The June 1st event, designed specifically for litigation support professionals and attorneys from law firms and corporate legal departments, is free to attend, though in keeping with the Masters Conference format, space is limited. The educational event offers CLE credit as well.

The Masters Series for Legal Professionals offers two educational tracks that will be presented by corporate and law firm thought leaders. The first track covers the 7th Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program, records management, e-discovery preparedness and international e-discovery. The second covers organizational data protection, social media and cost-effective e-discovery management for smaller companies.

The Masters Conference provides practical, CLE education for lawyers and data-oriented professionals that is delivered with front-line experience. Masters Conference content is developed by an advisory cabinet of industry thought leaders. Attendees gain practical knowledge, presented by peers, on current issues that can be applied immediately to everyday practice.
