Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Brings Viewpoint In-House

AmLaw 200 firm selects Viewpoint e-discovery software for its all-in-one functionality and ease-of-use; brings greater efficiencies and cost-savings to its clients

HOUSTON, May 20, 2013 – Lateral Data, a Xerox company, today announced that Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has selected Viewpoint as its primary e-discovery management platform. Kelley Drye is a full-service law firm headquartered in New York, NY with offices across the U.S. and internationally, including Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, Stamford, CT, Parsippany, NJ and Brussels, Belgium.

Kelley Drye, which has approximately 350 lawyers and other professionals, will implement Viewpoint across its practice areas. It will use the platform to manage all phases of the firm’s clients’ e-discovery process using a single solution that integrates collection, pre-processing, processing, early case assessment, advanced analytics, review and production functionality. All modules are core to the platform, including its technology-assisted review capabilities. Furthermore, Viewpoint’s massively scalable architecture allows for the processing of a Terabyte of data or more per day, giving clients the ability to quickly conduct early case assessments and analyze data for complex litigation, internal investigations, Hart-Scott-Rodino second requests and M&A transactions, regulatory inquiries and other types of matters.

Typically, organizations deploy numerous disparate products to manage different parts of the e-discovery process, which can be costly, inefficient and prone to risk. Viewpoint’s all-in-one platform addresses these challenges, creating greater efficiencies in the process, reducing overall costs and eliminating risk associated with moving sensitive data between tools.

“Kelley Drye makes extensive investments in technology to continually drive greater efficiencies, service quality and cost-savings for our clients,” said Judith Flournoy, Chief Information Officer of Kelley Drye. “We expect that Viewpoint’s all-in-one e-discovery platform will drive greater efficiency,  speed the process, and reduce the cost to our clients.  We see the implementation of Viewpoint as a strategic investment.”

Kelley Drye selected Viewpoint after an extensive proof of concept process in which Viewpoint and other leading e-discovery platforms were evaluated. Case teams used the evaluation period to manage client cases in a live Viewpoint production environment to fully test the software in real-time. Viewpoint was ultimately selected by the firm’s attorneys for its comprehensive all-inclusive functionality, intuitive user interface and ease-of-use over other products.

"We are excited that Kelley Drye has selected Viewpoint for its e-discovery needs,” said Matt Berry, founder and CEO of Lateral Data. “We look forward to helping them achieve their and their clients’ objectives utilizing Viewpoint.”
