BlueStar Case Solutions is a comprehensive litigation support services provider and consultancy

BlueStar Case Solutions Develops EDD Toolkit E-Discovery App

Chicago based litigation support services provider launches free e-discovery calculator application for smartphones.

Chicago, IL - February 10, 2011 -- BlueStar Case Solutions, Inc. (BlueStar), a litigation support services provider and consultancy, recently launched EDD Toolkit, a free e-discovery application (app) for smartphones.   The app features a Cost Estimator, Time Estimator, Conversion Table and Glossary for common e-discovery questions with regards to ESI (electronically stored information) processing, document review and production.  The EDD Toolkit e-discovery app is a useful application for attorneys, paralegals, in-house counsel and litigation support staff who quickly need answers about a particular e-discovery project.

“We are very excited about all the positive reviews we have gotten so far, including the enthusiastic comments we received last week at LegalTech New York,” says Desiree Salomon, BlueStar’s Marketing Manager. “It’s the ultimate e-discovery ‘cheat sheet.’”

The EDD Toolkit provides valuable reference resources and quickly estimates how much e-discovery may cost and how long the process may take.  Along with a glossary of terms and a data-to-documents or pages conversion calculator, the application is quickly becoming an essential tool for the e-discovery practitioner.

EDD Toolkit e-discovery app’s full list of features includes:

Cost Estimator

E-Discovery, and the costs associated with it are a large portion of a client’s litigation spend. Using industry averages, BlueStar’s EDD Toolkit Cost Estimator estimates how much a user defined amount of data or number of documents for review could cost.

Time Estimator

The Time Estimator will estimate how long the ESI processing and review steps may take in litigation, and also has the ability to calculate how long it can take to scan paper documents into an electronic format.

Conversion Table

The Conversion Table calculates how many documents or pages may be found in a user defined amount of data. Broken down by common email and document formats, the user can easily estimate how much data exists in a tangible measurement, by the number of documents or pages.

Glossary

E-Discovery terminology and jargon can be perplexing to paralegals, attorneys, and anyone involved in litigation support, therefore the Glossary feature provides definitions for most common e-discovery related terms via a quickly accessible interface.

The EDD Toolkit is currently available for iPhone and Android, while BlackBerry and Windows 7 versions are scheduled for release later this month.  To learn more or to download the EDD Toolkit app for free visit: http://www.bluestarcs.com/resources/app-support .

Last year mindSHIFT’s organic EBITDA grew 17 percent over 2009, highlighting the company’s operational excellence, its ability to bring revenue growth to the bottom line and its recognition among the top IT vendors in the country. Showcasing recurring revenue strength and customer loyalty, 73% of mindSHIFT’s revenue was from recurring contracts. On February 1, 2011 mindSHIFT acquired ORBIT Systems, a managed IT services company located in the Minneapolis–St. Paul market, with 54 employees. This is mindSHIFT’s second acquisition in 2011.  The company also acquired Alpheon Corporation, a North Carolina-based MSP with significant reach in the healthcare industry, on January 1. These two acquisitions expand mindSHIFT’s customer base to new geographic markets and broaden its presence in healthcare, supporting the growing need for technical assistance and services around EMR deployments.

“mindSHIFT has had tremendous growth over the past year, demonstrating why we are the leading MSP in the country,” said Paul Chisholm, mindSHIFT Chairman and CEO. “On top of our growing revenue and customer base, the two acquisitions in 2011 will play important roles in expanding mindSHIFT’s geographic and vertical reach. The Edge Room Partners with ABA TECHSHOW for the Second Year in a Row

Minneapolis, MN– March 14, 2011 – Edge Legal Marketing, a Minneapolis-based marketing and public relations firm serving the needs of companies targeting the legal market, today announced The Edge Room (www.TheEdgeRoom.com) is open for ABA TECHSHOW. Presented by the ABA Law Practice Management Section. ABA TECHSHOW is the American Bar Association’s largest legal technology and education trade show that attracts lawyers from around the world. ABA TECHSHOW will be held at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, April 11 – 13, 2011. Exhibitors are invited to log in to The Edge Room and post press kit contents including items such as their company logo, press releases, articles, white papers and company brochures.

The Edge Room is a free virtual press room where exhibitors provide company announcements and information that can be accessed by a legal media list of over 300 writers, editors, bloggers, and thought-leaders. It offers members of the media a secure, convenient, and easy way to search and download information that they need in order to better prepare for articles or exhibitor interviews. A new feature of The Edge Room is that it provides exhibitors the ability to add its announcements to its blog and Twitter account which helps improve exhibitor visibility and search results across the web.

Amy Juers, Founder and CEO of Edge Legal Marketing, said, “I felt the need to build The Edge Room for a few reasons; one being when our legal vendor clients exhibited at a trade show, the traditional “press room” seemed like a ‘dark hole’ where you would drop off your press kits and wonder if media or your competitors were collecting company information. A good number of media that we interviewed prior to building this product said that a lot of the press kit contents would end up in the trash because it was near impossible to carry 10-20 kits around with them as they walked throughout the show floor and to educational sessions. In addition, many of the media kits simply would remain untouched and a lot of good information would go unnoticed.

“The Edge Room is still a relatively new product but it is gaining a lot of momentum and we have the statistics to prove it,” continued Juers. During the last 45-days, reports show that more than 400 exhibitor files were downloaded which is record breaking numbers for The Edge Room! Additionally, there are new visitors from some of the most prominent legal and business media logging in and searching across the exhibitor database including media from The New York Times, Law.com, ABA Journal, Law Technology News, and InsideCounsel. “I am very excited to bring The Edge Room to ABA TECHSHOW for the second year in a row, and I look forward to helping them make the show a great success,” said Juers.

Exhibitors and media can quickly learn how to use The Edge Room by following this easy step-by-step guide on The Edge Room’s Resources page.

For more information on The Edge Room visit www.theedgeroom.com, follow them on Twitter, or subscribe to The Edge Room Blog.
